Another interesting textbook written in a friendly style with a kind of personal touch. In ane chapter, this writer fifty-fifty used photos of himself to illustrate the stages of development in human growth.

John and I particularly enjoyed this form considering of the friendly, relaxed education style of the professor and peculiarly because of the kind of tests he gave. He lectured on each chapter for 2 form periods and then we had a test, and so that meant a examination almost every week. The tests were more often than not 40

John and I especially enjoyed this course because of the friendly, relaxed teaching way of the professor and especially considering of the kind of tests he gave. He lectured on each affiliate for 2 class periods and then we had a test, so that meant a test about every week. The tests were mostly 40-50 multiple choice questions and they were not tricky like some teachers tin can make them. It was admittedly necessary to read the entire chapter and written report it and the notes taken in class so at that place was considerable work involved, simply the information was adequately direct-forward and simply required a lot of focus and memorization. John totally amazed me when he was the second student finished with his last…he handed his exam to the professor, gave me a triumphant smiling and a thumbs upward, and sailed out the door. (He sits on the contrary side of the room every bit I.) I still had 1½ pages to complete! My business organisation was that he had non double-checked his work, but he later confidently said that he institute the test easy and he thought he did well. And equally information technology turns out, he was right! He got a 92% on the final and an "A" in the grade.

This is a good intro into psychology. However, I felt that starting with the mechanics off the encephalon in the beginning made it rather intense and didn't help every bit much every bit I think the writer intended. Some of the chapters mixed concepts that I didn't experience went together cohesive, then that became an upshot, especially in later chapters. Most of the examples are relatable and well explained. The book is a good overview psychology, simply I felt the heavy focus on neurobiology in the start handful of chapter This is a skillful intro into psychology. Withal, I felt that starting with the mechanics off the brain in the beginning made it rather intense and didn't aid equally much as I remember the author intended.
